To create a Surftree™ web page:

• Make an HTML file with an APPLET tag. The HTML file specifies the size and location of the Surftree™ and tells the browser to load the Surftree™ applet.
   
  
• Place the Surftree™ APPLET file in the location specified by the HTML code.
   
  
• Create a DATA FILE in CSV (comma separated values) format (or zipped CSV format). This data file defines the structure of the tree. CSV files can be saved directly from spreadsheets, a databases, or a text editors.

You can control the "look and feel" of the Surftree™ with an OPTIONAL PARAMETERS FILE. The font, color, and icons for each node of the tree can also be specified on a line by line basis in the DATA FILE.
